Am I eligible?


There are some criteria you have to meet to participate in the BE HEARD Study. These include:

  • Aged 18 years or older
  • Have had signs and symptoms of hidradenitis suppurativa for at least 6 months
  • Have hidradenitis suppurativa bumps (or lesions) in or on at least 2 different areas of your body
  • Have previously taken antibiotics for the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa

There are other criteria that you will need to meet before you can join the study. Your study doctor will discuss these with you to find out whether you can take part.

What is informed consent?


Prior to any tests, you must agree to and sign an Informed Consent Form, or ICF. This document explains the study in detail, including potential risks and benefits, as well as your rights and responsibilities.

Is the BE HEARD Study right for me?


Taking part in clinical research requires careful thought. Before you decide whether to participate, make sure that you understand any potential risks involved. There is no guarantee that you will benefit from taking part in this study.

And remember, clinical studies are voluntary. You are free to leave at any time and for any reason, with no penalty to you.
